Yesterday, after attending the class I was going to a shopping mall. On my way I stopped at a fast food shop near Gulshan circle-1 along with my friends. I parked the car just infront of us- infront of the fast food shop too. After having our meal I started my car and when I tried to switch on the light I found my car’s pair of fog lights are gone… How ridiculous!!! This is not happening to me only… I can see a lot of car without the side mirror. Those mirrors are crashed from the car and looted by some human faced dogs. Most of the time these people are addicted people. Today I went to the scout market to buy those pair of lights. When I asked for a pair, the man in the shop pulled a big bag containing those fog lights (all were Toyota Allion’s lights). During my short stay infront of that single shop I found three more people bought side mirrors who suffered the same pathetic incident. However I had to spend 5000 taka to get those back. This is a common suffering now a days but I don’t think any steps were taken by the law enforcing agencies to protect us from these types of incidents. I become amazed when I see in the tv that people in other countries park their car open in the street. When will situation in Bangladesh change? What is going on?? People can snatch other peoples’ properties, people can destroy other peoples’ car to get his/her own benefit…!! yes… yesterday I saw a picture in the daily prothom alo, where a woman was pleading to the garments’ worker not to break her car.
But the car was thrashed in the mean time. Now that we are talking a lot about change and reformation – when will these activities stop? when will the minds change? When will we be able to roam through the city without any threat of such activities? Is there any one to answer? – Hellooooo….???
