Long awaited Bangladeshi notebook brand DOEL will come up with 4 different models and is expected to be launched in Bangladeshi market by October 15th. Bangladesh government re-instated the telephone manufacturing Bangladeshi unit TESHIS (টেশিস) to produce notebooks to meet growing Bangladeshi market demand. Initially the notebooks will be supplied at the government offices. TESHIS will produce 10,000 units of notebooks every month.
These notebooks will be loaded with all required softwares along with free OS google android (Basic model) and Linux. Besides it will contain videos on Bangladesh history & heritages, an application to access Bangladesh E-info cell and Agro-news cell and the digital version of all the text books from primary and higher education level. Initially there will be 4 different models:

Don’t expect to get it in your hand very soon, because govt officials are saying that there is a demand of 50,000 units in government offices and only after fulfilling that DOEL will be available for general people. With current production capacity of 10,000 units per month we can expect it to be available to us in the first quarter of the next year. Experts are saying that introduction of local brand in lower price will initiate competition in the market and other International brands will be forced to reduce their price – ultimately benefiting the people of Bangladesh. A very good initiative by the government indeed.
