Hey bro nice work….I just want to add few stuff along with ur ahmmm…….article….well first thing is Centrino 2(Montevina + penryn processor) is not advantageous for its Low TDP of 25W, standard voltage T9xxx series has TDP rating of 35W…there are some penryn like QX9xxx, Q9xxx, X9xxx, X7xxx even has TDP ranginf from 44W to 45W…secondly its certainly is not a breakthrough compaired with its predecessor Santa Rosa………an average Montevina Platform supersedes Santa Rosa performance by 5% – 20%……..
Now for the actual advantage are:
1. Cantiga Chipset platform with GMA X4500M(GM45/47 clocked at 533/640MHz with 10 unified shaders) and ICH9M southbridge
2. DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM support
3. Robson 2 Turbo memory support
4. Boazman Gigabit Ethernet LAN controller (82567LM and 82567LF)
5. New Socket P / Micro-FCPGA/Micro-FCBGA for 2nd generation penryn with SSE4.1 instruction.
6. Intel WiFi Link 5100/5300 mini-PCIe adapter (codenamed Shiloh), and the add-on card WiMAX (802.16) (codenamed Dana Point)
7. Intel combo WiFi/WiMAX Link 5150/5350 mini-PCIe adapter (code-named Echo Peak)
I hope this helps
Safety and Peace,
